La Boheme

I just love how nature can be a very good background for outfit of the day shoots like this. Nature indeed has a lot to offer - the beautiful flora/ foliage, the fresh breeze, and the natural light. You don't have to put much effort in taking photos. You just point, pose, and shoot! It's not everyday you get to see a lot of colors like this. Though work is the primary reason why i visited Baguio,  i made sure that i woke up  very early to maximize and utilize the natural surroundings that the city of Pines has to offer.

A La Creme

I don't know why I'm so drawn into plain cream or white colored tops - it's simple yet very elegant at the same time. One style tip i could share to all my readers out there - just make sure to buy plain tops like this in high quality fabric such as chiffon or silk. Trust me, you'll never go wrong because it's  very comfortable and lightweight Also, this is my first official post sporting my new 'do. I just felt like i needed a change, and the plain boring long hair is getting difficult to manage. Hope you guys like it.

As Simple As It Gets

 “Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.”
Leonardo da Vinci

I'm not the type of girl with a loud fashion sense. My style is clean, sleek, and simple... not provocative as if i have a histrionic personality disorder screaming out : "Hey look at me! I am a fashionista!" One can wear a simple t-shirt but still look sophisticated and fashionable. The saying - simplicity is beauty, works best for me.

What I Wore:

Shirt - Bench Body
Pants - Denim Co.
Sneakers - Forever 21
Scarf - American Eagle Outfitters
Shades - Zara

Eats: Bag of Beans Tagaytay

This post is way too late! Thank God i managed to squeeze in some time for this post though. Since i can't go out of town during labor day - the best way for me to tune out from work was of course the nearest escape, the land of Tagaytay! One reward i could give myself being a hardworking laborer is of course - to feed my satiety center with gastronomic delights!

For tourists out there, Bag of Beans is one spot i would recommend. Well, aside from the awesome brews they provide, they also cater gourmet dishes at an affordable price. They have a wide array of food choices - from pasta, breakfast sets, pastries, to sweets that you could bring home as "pasalubong."

Prices range from 200-500 per meal. Rice meals range from Php 250- 550, while their pasta ranges from Php 200-300, which i absolutely love! They have big servings, that's why i think the price is just enough for ordinary wage workers like me.

Aside from the food, another thing they could offer is the place's ambience which is kinda homey.
I'ts a great place to take a respite from all the stressors of metro manila - say clean air, greens, wooden chairs, the sound of chirping birds and flowing water. I'd give the place a 4 out of 5.

Porkchops yes - but hey, these aren't your ordinary chops! It has a special spice and i think it was marinated in wine.
The White Spaghetti (Carbonara). I also love their pasta in oil (mushroom truffle pasta)
I highly recommend this healthy grilled blue marlin entree- it has a zesty citrus and spicy taste)
Yeah, stressed out so i needed a quick break :)

Look Into The Brighter Side of Life

“Always look on the bright side of life."

I'm just so thankful to God that i was able to get by after all the things i've been through (speaking of all facets in my life). Let's just say that at the end of the day... the Lord is telling me that he has a reason for every occurrence in my life, and that i should always look at the brighter side of life.

Whenever we are faced with some arduous instances in our lives, sometimes we tend to find blame through others and just slack off. Sometimes we fail to see that there are others who have trying times far worse than what we may be experiencing. Always keep in mind to find beauty in everything!

Easy Breezy!

Sometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold.  But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow.
~Douglas Pagels, These Are the Gifts I'd Like to Give to You

So I'm finally back after a fully booked April. What best way to celebrate labor day is to really shut my laptop off and tune out - away from busy manila! Where i went? Well, the nearest retreat i could go is of course Tagaytay! Clad in my ultra comfy chiffon-lace blouse, and chiffon shorts - this outfit made my life easier because it's literally breathable. Always keep in mind to wear light clothing during summer!
